Columbia women hosted Yale on 17 September at an early evening game with perfect weather and temperature. Despite a difficult lost, we were incredibly proud of our team, especially our fearless rookies. Playing with a team where more than half of us were new to the sport was a daunting task, but we could not have asked for more effort and dedication from everyone. Standouts included rookies Ciara Little and Rosie Torola who both had many powerful runs in the first half, as well as Eliza Jouin in the second half. CU worked hard to keep defense up until the end despite a very physically taxing game and proved that no matter the score, we are a team that fights until the end.
Final score: Yale 74, Columbia 15
